The requirement of adaptation to the dynamics of the globalized world has rendered the structure of the study areas more active. The fields of justice and law, too, must adapt to this dynamism. In this scope the main goal of the department is to raise professionals who have strong grasp of the judicial system processes, who respect the laws, who care about the professional ethics and who can carry out the administrational duties mainly including the courthouses, law offices, and notary offices that operate within the system of law.
Department of Law - Program of Justice has begun to offer educational services by accepting students for 2021-2022 Education Year.
When the program with 120 ECTS credits is successfully completed and the program requirements are met, an Associate’s Degree in the Justice Program will have been obtained.
Any student who wants to enroll at the department must have completed the processes / passed the exams of the university within the academic and legal framework of the university, as determined by ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center).
On condition that the student obtains enough points during the vertical transfer examination organized by the Student Selection and Placement Center, the student can apply to the bachelor’s degree programs (law) related to the student’s field or the Bachelor’s Degree completion programs of Distance Learning Systems.
In order to graduate from the justice program, the student must receive all the courses required for graduation within the periods stated in the related regulations, become successful in the received courses and the received program must be completed with at least a weighted grade point average of 2.00, as well as 30 work-days of internship requirement. The students need at least 120 ECTS credits to receive the Associate Degree.
In scope of the competences obtained by the students who graduate from the program of justice, it is the goal to raise qualified intermediate staff with basic legal knowledge within the body of the judicial organization. Our graduates can work in the judicial field in scope of registry directorates, enforcement offices, enforcement officer duties, court clerk duties, correction officer duties etc. as well as other governmental bodies, notary offices and private law offices.
